1800s Massachusetts Sheraton Bowfront Mahogany Chest of Four Drawers - Turret Corners Over Reeded Pilasters
American (North Shore, Massachusetts, New England) circa 1825. A Sheraton bowfront chest of drawers, commode or dresser in mahogany and pine drawer bottoms and wide plank backing, having a shaped and reeded surface with carved turret corners, and four dovetailed drawers flanked by continuous reeded and turned legs.
This chest has amazing deep drawer storage. Item is in nice antique condition - some old cracks on both sides. See photos. It does not hinder the piece, but only adds to the age and character. The drawer interiors are original, but could use a good sanding. Please let us know if you wish to keep it as is or touched up a bit.
